At 40 years of age, Leslie is an accomplished mortgage broker, currently in his 18th year in the industry. He is a proud part owner and broker of East Coast Mortgage Brokers, who were recently awarded the Canadian Mortgage Awards Brokerage of the Year (under 25 employees) and the Canadian Mortgage Awards, along with the Mortgage Awards of Excellence Regional Brokerage of the Year (Atlantic) for the last five years in a row!
Leslie was most recently recognized in 2025 at the Canadian Mortgage Awards as the Broker of the Year – Atlantic, in 2024 by Atlantic Business Magazine as a Top 50 CEO in Atlantic Canada, in 2021 by Canadian Mortgage Professional Magazine’s ‘Hot List’ of movers and shakers in the Canadian mortgage industry, as well as a Rising Star in 2020, as one of the top brokers in the country under 35 by Canadian Mortgage Professional. A perennial top producing broker, Leslie has won numerous awards both nationally and regionally. Best described as an energetic, hardworking and dedicated mortgage professional; Leslie seeks to connect with people and his community. His tireless work ethic and strong family values were instilled while growing up in a rural Newfoundland community of less than 100 people.

On top of working day-to-day with his mortgage clients, Leslie spends his time working along side his wife Jennifer, running their business, Baccalieu Trail Brewing Company in Bay Roberts, NL.
During his spare time, he spends this with Jennifer, his son Lincoln, their dog, Bauer and you’ll most likely find him at a hockey rink somewhere on the Northeast Avalon, either watching or coaching Lincoln’s hockey.
